Hebrews 9: 12: Neither by the blood of
goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption for us.
When Christ shed his own blood and entered into God’s presence in
the true holies of holies he obtained eternal redemption. How assuring to know that every believers
redemption was obtained by the Lord Jesus Christ right then! It was not our faith that obtained redemption;
it was Christ with his own blood.
Redemption was not obtained in our hearts but in the holy place by
Christ Jesus. The assurance of
redemption is not in our ability but is eternal by the efficacy of Christ’s
blood. If it is so for you believer—that
Christ redeemed you from the curse of the law by his own blood—then it is so
for each person for whom Christ died. Thank God that Christ Jesus accomplished God
the Father’s will of redeeming each of his elect, that he obtained it by his
precious blood, and that his blood has eternal efficacy so that not one for
whom he died shall ever be charged with the sin of the law.
