Exodus 14: 13: And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Indeed, this was a special instance of God’s salvation when he delivered Israel across the Red Sea and destroyed the enemy, Pharaoh and his army.  But every new day God’s child would do well to heed these words, “Fear yet not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew you to day.”  That which we fear, we sanctify, or set apart, as being the strongest. There is none strong as our God and Savior, “Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.” (Isa 8:13)  Our flesh is so weak that our first reaction to trouble is to tremble, to walk the floor, or to run.  The Lord says, “Stand still.”  Believer, “the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Ch 20: 15) Set  your affection on the Lord Jesus at God’s right hand, “and see the salvation of the LORD.”  Each day there are more dangers surrounding us that we do not see than we do see.  But the Lord delivers his people out of them all.  As he did yesterday, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew you today.” Do not worry about tomorrow. (Mt 6: 33-34) All we need is grace for today. Soon, all the enemies “ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”
